广东省省级非物质文化遗产之一

在广东俗称“花街”

宝安学子相约外教老师

追寻“花街”花事的芳踪

Strolling around the flower market is a traditional folk cultural activity in China. Commonly known as Huajie (literally flower street) in Guangdong, the flower market holds great significance as it is part of Guangdong’s intangible cultural heritage. Students in Bao’an invite their foreign teacher toseek the trace of "Flower Market".

蝴蝶兰盛开寓意飞向幸福

水仙展翠吐芳寓意春意盎然

The students from Jingbei Primary School introduce the symbolism of many flowers to their foreign teacher Lauren. For example, the blossom of butterfly orchid means flying to happiness. The green showed and fragrance sent by daffodils manifest that spring is very much in the air.

wishing good luck for the coming year

“金桔海”“梨塔”“杨贵妃”等新奇的花朵吸引了海旺学校的同学们和外教老师的注意，孩子们向外教介绍了金桔寓意着“大吉大利”、“团团圆圆”，“梨塔”寓意着金玉满堂,五福临门，而“杨贵妃”则是大花蕙兰，代表着优雅、善良、包容、端庄。

Students and the foreign teacher at Haiwang School are attracted by fancy flowers like "the sea of golden oranges" "the tower of pears" and "Princess Yang". Students introduced the beautiful implications of the above three flowers to the foreign teacher. Among them, the golden oranges represent "good luck and getting together with the family", "the tower of pears" is the symbol of "a long life, lots of wealth, good health, good virtue as well as kindness" while "Princess Yang" is Cymbidium faberi Rolfe, representing elegance, kindness, tolerance and gracefulness.
