望族之乡有曾氏
清平之世留古墟
今天清平实验学校的同学们带着外教
来参观曾氏大宗祠和清平古墟
感受中国家庭宗族和农耕市集文化
On a prosperous land,
there lives a great clan — the Zengs;
Down through a long time,
there still exists an old fair — Qingping Ancient Fair.
Today, the students from Qingping Experimental School
showed their foreign teacher
around the Zeng Ancestral Hall and Qingping Ancient Fair,
to experience Chinese traditional culture
of clans and agricultural fairs.

In the Zeng Ancestral Hall,
the students introduced to the foreign teacher
the great talents of the Zengs in the past
and their values of education passed down through generations.
In the end,
they performed the recitation of
Analects of Confucius.
曾氏大宗祠是深圳市家族面积最大、建筑规格最高的广府祠堂，是广东省重点文物保护单位。曾氏先祖是孔子的72弟子曾参，孔子儒学的正宗传人，人称“曾子”。曾氏家族将曾子的高山景行作为传家风范，家族人才辈出。
Built with the highest standard, the Zeng Ancestral Hall is the biggest Cantonese ancestral hall in Shenzhen, which is among the key cultural relics protection units of Guangdong Province. The progenitor of the Zeng clan was Zeng Shen, an orthodox inheritor of Confucius. He has been entitled “Zeng Zi”. His righteous qualities and virtues have been highly valued and passed down through generations of the Zengs, and great talents have come to the fore one after another.

深圳繁华的前世与今生
The next visit was to Qingping Ancient Fair,
where the students and their foreign teacher explored
the past and the present prosperity of Shenzhen.
清平古墟是深圳四大古墟之一，有着200多年的历史，是一处文物相对集中、空间相对独立、风貌相对完整的古村落，是农耕市集文化的缩影，也是沙井古墟历史文化、人文文化的重要部分。
With a history of over 200 years, Qingping Ancient Fair is one of the four great ancient fairs in Shenzhen. The historic village is rich in cultural relics, independent in the geographic location, and well-preserved in its original looks and traditional custom. Not only is it an epitome of the traditional agricultural fair culture, but is also an important part of the historic and humanistic culture of Shajing.
古墟最美当属永兴桥
同学们邀请外教走上桥来
望着坑坑洼洼的桥面
仿佛听到车轮滚滚的声音
重见昔日的车水马龙
同学们应景而舞
为外教表演了
经典岭南文化粤剧《分飞燕》
恍惚间，时空流转
穿越百年前的繁华闹市
The most beautiful part of Qingping Ancient Fair
is Yongxing Bridge.
The students invited the foreign teacher
to walk across the bridge.
Looking at the bumpy and rough surface,
they felt as if they were listening to the creaking
of old carriage wheels and witnessing the prosperity
of the fair back in the old times.
Inspired by the view, the students started to perform
the classic Cantonese opera Parted Lovers
for the foreign teacher.
It seemed as if they had traveled back in time
and space to the busy fair over a hundred years ago.
清平古墟里
处处残存着岁月的痕迹
蛛丝马迹间亦能寻觅当初古墟的繁华
和外教们一起漫步其中
感受宝安深厚的历史文化底蕴
舒适而惬意
只盼岁月静好
万事安康
In Qingping Ancient Fair,
subtle traces of the past are everywhere,
from which the prosperity in the old times
can still be reached.
Strolling around with the foreign teacher,
the students indulged themselves in the deep historical
and cultural charm of Bao’an,
feeling peaceful and pleased.
May everyone enjoy a tranquil and comfortable life
and may everything go well every day!
